OREEC, is a private-public partnershipwas established in 2007 with its secretariat located at Lillestrøm Centre of Expertise (LCE). OREEC unites most of the counties of Oslo, Akershus, Hedmark, Oppland, Buskerud, Telemark, Vestfold and Østfold, which represents about half of the Norwegian population.It is facilitating cooperation between industry, research, education and public authorities, and its aim is to increase the commercial opportunities of the companies.
OREECs main focus areas are renewable energy technologies, climate technology, emissions, CCS, waste management and recycling, energy efficiency, bioenergy, stationary and transportation.
